Cant Play DVD on Computer

hi guys and girlies

ive got this dvd movie, which i can play on my dvd player connected to my tv but it wont play on my computer - dvdrom

im using windows media player and just installed windvd but neither seems to work.

when i go into MY COMPUTER and look at the at the DVD drive, the movie doesnt even display.

Should i install another dvd player on my computer or update my codecs
im using windows XP

hi.. uhmm.. what kind of dvd player do you have on ur pc? and it has nothing to do with your codecs anyway cuase a dvd player and a programme for it should do the trick on their own try downloading 'power dvd' and open your dvd. if that doesn't work either maybe ur pc dvd isn't region free and u bought a diff region movie. and be sure the dvd is installed correctly, maybe that's the bad guy....
