  1. Im trying to convert a DIVX video file which is 82 min long, but when converting to VCD in TMPGEnc, it thinks its about 4 hours long, and i have to wait about 9 hours before it finishes, then i have to trim off the video at the end of the movie, which is just black with no sound.

What seems to be the problem?

If TMPGEnc says that the video time / runtime is way too long
Try change the directshow reader priority, in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and reopen the video. If that doesn't help you can always use the source range to select exact what to encode, under Settings->Advanced in tmpgenc.

Or when that happens I just hit the stop button in TMPgenc when it goes to blank, The converted file is fine, no trimming needed.

    Good Luck
