    i use dvd decrypter and i have no problem reading the movie and converting the file, but when i go to write the disc i get FAILED TO WRITE PERIMETER. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT I MAY BE DOING WRONG? I have used 5 different forms of media. I have a p4 2.53/200 gig/1.24 ddr with a pacific digital DVD-R burner i use purple sided discs and have burned in other programs. i backed up excape from new york and found out chapter 26 was messed up. any help please.

    You have to be more clear. What exactly are you trying to do? Are you backing-up a single layer disk to a dvd-r? What brand of dvd-r media are you using? What program(s) are you using to burn?

    Also after you dump the disk, (I'm assuming its single layer) do you do the "Get VTS Sectors" in IFOEDIT? That fixes some weird problems with backed-up movies.

    From what I can understand, it almost sounds like your media is bad. If you use low quality media it will burn ok but when you go to play it on a stand-alone the out part of the disk will be unreadable, jumpy etc.

  3. I don't know if this sounds stupid, but it sounds like you're trying to overburn the disc.
