My advice would be to use a flipper DVD and use both sides instead of putting two on one side. The quaility would be terrible.

yes you can. BUT try to choose short films with lowish bitrates. I put 2 john carpenter films together and it looks good, not brilliant though you are going to lose a bit of quality. Rip both films, to two folders, using DVD decrypter. Get rid of everything in the folders apart from your VOBs. Next rename your second set of VOB files to follow your first set (if you have VTS_1_1 to VTS_1_5, rename your second set VTS_1_6 to whatever you need. Once you have all the VOBs named stick them all into one folder. Fire up IFOEDIT and write a new .IFO for your VOB set. Once you have this you need to compress it all down using DVD2one or DVDshrink.

If you are willing to re-encode with CCE or TMPGenc you can try changing the resolutions of the films from 720x480 to 352x480. I've put two films on one DVD this way a few times. If watching on a regular TV you won't notic much difference in the resolution (well if you looked at both side by side you would, but when are you going to do that?).
Try using DVD2SVCD with the DVD compatible settings you can find with a search through the forums. Used the advanced settings, change resolution to 352x480 and set all disc sizes to 1/2100. -
I did what yongkuk suggested and put two cartton films on the same dvd and compressed them using dvd2one, the quality is good, the only thing is it hasn't got a menu to go straight to the second film, is this possible to do , using maestro or something ???
