    Compress as much as you can with for example dvd rebuilder and then join with dvdremake pro (see https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=702&howtoselect=6;30#702 ) and you can keep the original menus.

    Use DVD+R DL media. Use the 352x480 option in DVD Rebuilder.

    And it might still look like crap after all is said and done.
