TMPGenc freeze on tooLame

I have a DivX AVI. I have saved the uncompressed WAV with Virtualdub. (also cheked AVI for bad frames)

When converting to MPG with TMPGenc with toolame my PC freezes about 30% of the way. I've also tried using the TMPGenc internal Audio engine .. same problem

Then tried with MainConcept . same thing. Tried on another PC ..same thing.

Any Ideas ?

Maybe the title of your post is a bit misleading. It is obvious that this is not a toolame or TmpGenc problem.

About the only thing I can think of is your avi still has bad frames. You say you scanned it for bad frames with vdub. I assume you the set audio and video to direct stream copy and save out a new copy of the avi? In this case it may be that vdub has 'missed' some problem. I suggest searching the forum and looking to the user guides for more info on removing bad frames manually as, although vdub does a pretty good job it is not perfect.
