When i'm using DVD Decrypter to rip a movie to my hard drive I just get an error and it skips the files.

The only way I have found around this is doing one file at a time and right clicking the dvd drive under source and selecting authenticate before I select decrypt.

I am using Windows XP and a Liteon-166s(unlocked) DVD rom.

Does anyone know what the problem is here?

Thanks for any help and feedback that you may offer.

  2. I had a simular problem like yours. I then ripped it from my Sony DVD writer instead of the DVD-rom and didn't get the error..

I use Clad or Smartripper to decrypt DVD's but when i get the "files are locked" error, I will use Windows Media Player to open and play the first VOB file then while the movie is playing I start my decrypter program. The movies plays like crap for a few seconds then I close Media player and the derypter sees all the files and says, "ready to decrypt". It work everytime.

    Good luck,
    This is so much fun!

  5. I have that same dvdrom. There is a problem with some Liteon drives and the program. There is a huge thread in the dvddecrypter fourms for that problem. The website has been down all morning. You might try later. Hope there is a soulution soon.
