I recently had to format my hard drive so I had to reinstall everything. After downloading an avi film file , when trying to encode it using TMPGenc I keep getting an error " not formatted or supported" and so it won't let me encode. Ihave nimo codec pack installed but still no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Scan your AVI with Gspot ( tools-section ), to check the codec & framerate. At least install Divx3,4,5, Nimo-pack, Xvid and ffdshow.
