  1. I created a video in Adobe Premiere and I want to put it on to a SVCD. I have exported it using DivX and I am trying to Encode it with TMPEG.

My question is, 720x480 is that 16:9 aspect? If so what are my settings in TMPEG so that I do not lose the aspect ratio? I have been using the SVCD wizard.

    Thanks.

  2. Try: Other Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)

    This should work.

  3. So does this mean that 720x480 is 16:9? When I use the wizard TMPEG sets the source as 4:3. Or does that setting matter?

  4. It creates a 4/3 ratio with the black bars.
720x480 seems like 2/1 to me.
So you would get widescreen with black bars.
You can use the settings of your TV to stretch it and cut the black bars.

if you don't want that then select keep aspect ratio, so not full screen
but then you have to have a widescreen tv.

    PS:
16/9 is not the same as 4/3.
16/9 is widescreen, 4/3 is regular screen.
