divx to mpeg

i have some divx moives that were downloaded and i am trying to convert them to mpeg so i can burn it to dvd. my problem is i have no sound after it is encoded from divx to mpeg. i have used mainconcept cce and tmpgenc. they all turn out the same no audio. anyone have any ideas whats my problem is?

Do the movies play with sound on the computer?
If not try G-spot, available from the Tools section on this site. See if it has audio along with the video. It will also tell you what codec's were used.

If the audio plays, try re-encoding with Vdub to a different codec and stream the audio (don't re-encode the audio). If it plays after re-encoding, again try TMPGenc and generate separate streams to play the audio as a wav file. This is only available if your using a recent version of TMPG.
