video compression with virtual dub.

i use virtual dub to capture video with a composite line. but for some reason, my filesize is huge. after ten seconds it's about 15 mb big!
my settings are set at
ntsc
352 x 240
29.97 fps
44.10khz 8 bit stereo sound
YU2 4:2:2 interleaved compression

Avis are large. Load the Huffyuv compression codec that are linked to on this sight. They are lossless and sometimes you can get a 3 to 1 compression. Or you can try a mpeg or mjpeg codec...(huffy is free)
