I've been working on this problem for 2 months now, and am yet to burn a DVD to be played on a DVD player hooked up to my TV. The problem is that when i go to use Pinnacle's INSTANT COPY, the DVD-RW drive is in my Source section to draw from, but not in the destination section. So, i can't burn using Instant Copy; I can only convert to a .pdi file.

When I try to use Nero i have a similar problem. I select the nero image (.nrg) and the "Write DVD" window shows up. THen i go to select medium in the burn tab. I select my "Sony DVD RW DRU-510a [ID:0 HA:1]" in the E drive as my new source. But, when i select OK in the "Disc Info" window and return to the "write DVD" window, Burn tab I am still unable to select "OK" to begin the writing process because somehow NERO has selected the F drive (CD-RW) instead of the E drive like I told it. Point is I can't burn with either programs.

I can however burn DATA files with RECORDNOW DX (software that came with the burner) to a DVD-R. But, i am unable to burn the proper files necessary to create i guess a DVD image that i can play on my DVD player at home. Should i burn a CD image (ISO) file or what. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    Thx for the help!

    AJ

Ive got the DRU510A as well,

burning data with RECORDNOW DX is the way to burn a playable DVD.

whatever files you have you need to get them into DVD format which is the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders then you burn those two foldersusing RECORDNOW DX as data.
