Why not just copy the entire disk using Nero 'Copy CD' feature ?

Is there some reason why you did not try the standard CD Copy built into Nero? This works most of the time for VCDs and SVCDs.

From that error it sounds like it may actually be an XVCD or XSVCD you are trying to copy (still usually copies with the standard CD Copy.)

You could try using VCDGear, or VCDEasy to extract the avseq01.dat to your hard drive.

Copy the .dat file to your hard drive and drop it into Nero, the same way you would drop a .mpg you dont need to convert it.
