I had a large XVid AVI, which I successfully converted to MPEG2, using TMPGenc. I can view the MPeg, beginning to end, with good quality, in-sync sound.
I want to burn this to a DVD-R, so I run the mpeg through SpruceUp, to create the video_ts folder. At the end (98% or 99% complete) of the export, Spruce gives me a video error. Is there any other tool I can use or should be using, to create a burnable DVD file?

    thanks

  2. 1) Did you demux the MPEG file into an M2V (video) and MPA (audio) file.

    2) What's the resoultion of the video? 720x480, 352x480 and 352x240 are the only DVD legal resolutions. The default SVCD resolution of 480x480 is NOT supported.

    Thank you for the reply.
I did not demux the file. I had previously worked with the audio, while it was still an AVI. TMPGenc picked up the video and audio files and turned it into a working MPEG.

I'm not sure about the resolution, but if the resolution was unsupported, would Spruce not crash much earlier in the process, instead of at 99%.
I read somewhere else that this could sometimes be fixed by removing a few frames at the end. How would I do that?

    Update:

I cut 10 seconds off the front and 10 seconds off the back and re-ran Spruce. This time, it completed successfully.
