    I'm trying to convert an avi (divx) to NTSC DVD 4:3 with winFF but it stops almost immediately with an error:

    "Seems stream 0 codec frame rate differs from container frame rate: 30000.00 (300
    00/1) -> 23.98 (24000/1001)
    Input #0, avi, from 'C:\firstvid.avi':
    Duration: 00:00:09.98, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 689 kb/s
    Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg4, yuv420p, 512x344 [PAR 1:1 DAR 64:43], 23.98 tb(r)
    Stream #0.1: Audio: wmav2, 44100 Hz, stereo, 64 kb/s
    Could not open 'F:\firstvid\firstvid.mpg'

    I've tried changing settings but can't get anything to work. Is there a solution to this?

    Sorry, I probably should have been more specific. I don't want the converted output to be in final DVD form with vobs and bups. The avi in question is a short video. It will eventually be part of a more complex DVD that will be authored with DVDlab pro.

    The output file should be DVD compliant (mpeg2, proper resolution, and audio), but not in DVD format. I like winff because it has a half DVD option (352x480) that produces reasonable quality at small file sizes. Does the error indicate that winff can't convert it at all?
