  1. I am trying to create a VCD from family videos using ATI AIW 128 pro. I am using MMC 7.1 to capture to a file. Everything goes ok. I can use MS MP7 and the files plays all the way to the end about 57min.

Then I demux (TMPEGenc 12j) the file and the two files are created normally. I replay the video file with MP7 and it reports 57min. I look at the video file is still plays all the way to the end.

Then I remux (TMPEGenc 12j) and I look at the final file and try to play with MP7 and now the file reports 1hr 58min. What's is going on?

When I try to create the VCD nero does not report any problems. When I try to play the VCD on my computer of standalone DVD player the disc spins for ever.

Somehow that extra hr appended to the remuxed file is creating a problem.

By the way I use the same settings for the remaining part of the tape and no problems whatsoever. I can create the VCD with zero problems. The second part of the tape is about 60min long.

Does anybody know whats is going on? How to solve the problem?

I am very fustrated I tried capturing the first part of the tape about 4 times with the same results.

    Pleas help me!!!!

When you multiplex with TMPG, select type "Video-CD". I guess you set it to MPEG-1 System (automatic).

  5. MMC 7.0 and 7.1 have a Problem with Multiplexing. Try MMC 6.2 or 6.3. This Versions of MMC using the Ligos Mpeg Encoder. It produces full VCD 2.0 compliant Mpeg Files.
