Ok, I was trying the VCD header trick with an SVCD I have. Following the directions, I got a couple of test clips to try on my KLH Digital DVD 8350 and it worked (I was a bit surprised). Anyways, I took a SVCD with a full length movie, extracted the .MPG file with VCDEasy and ran it through the Multiplex in TMPGenc using the "MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)" and around the 33% mark while multiplexing, it displayed a buffer underflow error and left me with a 330 meg file, the original file size was around 823 megs. I also tried with the "MPEG-1 Video-CD" setting and the same thing happened at the same 33% mark. I then decided to burn the 330 meg file to a CD-RW and see if it would work. About 16 mins into the movie (the entire segment was supposed to be about 34mins) it stopped playing and displayed white blocks on half the screen. I also tried multiplexing the file directly from the CD but it also stopped with a buffer underflow error at about 20% and the resulted file was about 230 megs. The other test clips I used also had buffer underflow errors but they were at the end of the file. Is it because the file is bad? Or is it because of TMPGenc? And is there anyway to fix this?
