avi2dvd processes work, but cuts last minutes off file.

Hello. When I use avi2dvd to covert an mkv file to "avi mode" all works well except in the last 15 minutes of the conversion. First the subtitles stop, then in the last 9 or 10 minutes of the file the video locks, but the audio continues to the end of the file. I've tried re converting 3 times changing first the "disk size" ( from 4.7 to 8.5 GB), then playing around with the chapters options, then changing encoders( tried "QuEnc" and "HCEnc"). I don't know why it stops a few minutes early. EAch time I've tried the converson it stops coverting subtitles and video at exactly the same place in file. Is this problem fixable?

How about try something else? Like avstodvd that also uses hcenc.
