Sony DRU-500A, Maxell DVD+R and Nero 55917

I was able to successfully burn a movie to Optodisc DVD+RW and Memorex DVD-RW but the same movie failed at the end of the process when using Maxell DVD+R using Nero 5.5.9.1.7. I forgot the exact error message but if anyone is having or has had the same issue, is there a work around? The drive has the 1.0d firmware. The +-RW burnings were done after the firmware flash as was the +R. I did not test the +R before the flash.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful. My system is an Athlon 1800+, WinXP Pro SP1, ASPI 4.72, 256MB ddr2700 RAM. Other than Nero, rip software and PowerDVD XP, that's all the software.

Thanks for the clue. Followed the link in that thread, uninstalled, reinstalled, added 0 byte file and viola!!! Good DVD!
