Hi,
Get this error message with some avi in virtualdub:-
Improper audio encoding in avi. This may introduce a 4ms skew. decompress audio, recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate 127.7+- 0.0kbps)
Can anyone help!!

You need to save the audio as an uncompressed wav file, see this guide.

What does 4ms skew mean?
I thought it meant a delay between the video/audio (lip sync) and it was giving you a correction factor?

It does mean that there will be sync problems if you dont save the audio as uncompressed before you encode. Use vdub to play the video and the sync issue should become evident, although 4ms isn't much.
4 ms = 4 miliseconds -
