AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH TMPGENC 2.58 WHEN I LOAD AN AVI FILE IT CRASHES. I TRIED TO INCREASE THE VFAPI-PLUGIN SETTINGS AND IT CRASHES. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE AS MY SETTINGS.

    DIRECTSHOW MULTI FILE READER 2
    EVERYTHING ELSE 0
    AVI VFW COMPATIBILITY READER -2

WHEN I LOAD THE MOVIE IN THE BROWER IT CRASHES
    NO ERROR MESSAGE.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

  2. try extracting the audio and saving it as a WAV using the WAV as the audio source in TMPGE:

You can also try checking for bad frames using either DivFix or this version of Virtualdub (which is much better)...
Scroll down and download the "mp3_Freeze" version:

If you find bad frames (and its only up to 2 or 3 hundred.......any more than that and it will be quite noticeable in most movies) then you can extract them with Virtualdub.
