AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH TMPGENC 2.58 WHEN I LOAD AN AVI FILE IT CRASHES. I TRIED TO INCREASE THE VFAPI-PLUGIN SETTINGS AND IT CRASHES. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE AS MY SETTINGS.
DIRECTSHOW MULTI FILE READER 2
EVERYTHING ELSE 0
AVI VFW COMPATIBILITY READER -2
WHEN I LOAD THE MOVIE IN THE BROWER IT CRASHES
NO ERROR MESSAGE.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

try extracting the audio and saving it as a WAV using the WAV as the audio source in TMPGE:

You can also try checking for bad frames using either DivFix or this version of Virtualdub (which is much better)...
Scroll down and download the "mp3_Freeze" version:

If you find bad frames (and its only up to 2 or 3 hundred.......any more than that and it will be quite noticeable in most movies) then you can extract them with Virtualdub."Today is only yesterdays tomorrow" -
it allows me to load dvd rip movies it's only the internet movies that it does not let me load. only way it works now is with the original settings
avi vfw -2 and the directdraw at -1
but now the movie after encoding comes out with a purple haze.
