Hi,
I have been trying to convert divx to SVCD, the divx are excelent quality but when I convert to SVCD and play on a standalone DVD player (JVC S300BK) I get very minute lines across the screen which is like the horizontal resolution is not just right.
I have trying numerous different settings but none seem to get rid of the lines (they are very distracting when there are lines on screen like siding on a house etc) I have downloaded SVCDs online and none of these suffer this problem.
The encoded SVCD plays perfect on the computer, is this pitfall of converting from Divx to SVCD ? Or is there a filter setting I can use to get rid of this, I have tried both interlace and de-interlace and neither seems to get rid of the problem.
PLEASE ! Need help with this as I have many divx movies I would like to encode to SVCD but at present even my wife has commented on the problem when we have watched the movies I have doen so far (Alien which was 25fps pal I presume and also Pulp Fiction at same frame rate etc.)
ALL Help welcome
