I have a problem. As a lot of people probably have on here I would imagine. I have tmpGENC, I have virtualdub. I have Nero (5.5 i think) and I am trying to use these programs to make VCD's out of the mammoth collection of AVI files that I have. The files that I create will play fine on my PC, but My Pioneer DV350 does not play them all. Common problems include;

1. Graphical distortion if there is lots of movement on screen.
2. The disc will not play at all
3. The disc plays fine for 15 minutes or something, then just stops.

I really dont understand this at all. Is there a setting on my player that i need to turn on?

I have followed the tutorials on VCD help to the letter, and for the sake of argument, lets just say I have already scanned my AVI for errors, and there are none.

I am using virtual dub to strip an uncompressed WAV from the AVI, then feeding both the WAV and the AVI into tmpGENC to encode.

I tried burning a disc at 2 speed yesterday, and I still got graphical distortions.....I tried a VCD that I hadnt burned or encoded myself, and played fine, for about 15 minutes.......then stopped. I'm really at my wits end. This is my 3rd DVD player this year!!!!!! all I want to do is watch videos in my sitting room!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me? has anyone experienced these problems themself?
