Has anyone else had the problem with tmpgenc not displaying the correct framerate of a loaded divx file? I have a movie which, according to virtual dub, is in the ntscfilm standard of 23.976 fps. When I load it into tmpgenc and view the source range option, it says the source is 30 fps. I tried reloading my video codecs but nothing seems to help. It's also not the movie, tmpgenc has the same display problem with other divx files that I know are 23.976 fps. Since tmpgenc thinks the file is 30 fps, it duplicates some frames in the source range. I used the different inverse telescine options but that ends up dropping some good frames and encoding some duplicated ones. I'm using TMPGEnc 2.54.37.135 Plus Ultra if that matters. Please help if you can, I'm kinda at a halt until I can get this figured out.

TMPGEnc may be keeping a previous setting. Did you select New Project before loading your video?
    Hello.

Setting it to a new project doesn't make a difference, it's just the way tmpgenc is interpreting the framerate. The video is definitely 23.976 frames per second but after creating a new project and loading the file, it shows this at the bottom of the window:
    MPEG-1 512x384 30fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 48000Hz 192kbps

It should read the proper framerate in this and the source range section but both read 30 fps. Maybe I'll just try reloading the program and all video codecs unless anyone can give me some other help.

Well, I boosted the avi vfw compatibility reader plugin up to priority 3 and that seemed to work. Hopefully it'll stay that way.
