ok my question is what r some good settings for good video capture
which codec should i use for the best quality in capturing?also is there any cd burning software that will burn dvd format...nero only has vcd & svcd

What capture card are you using? If you are burning CDs, you will have a hard time making them DVDs. You need a DVD burner. If you do decide to get one (they are too pricey for me), I suggest learning your way around TMPGEnc. It converts to DVD format as well.

the video capture codec depends on what card your using and what format ..
VV is more a DV based capture , but I guess it could work with other capture devices - havnt looked ..
