    Hi

I have a ATI TV Wonder (TV Card). I am basically wondering if there is a way to capture at DVD res either 720 x 576 or 720 x 480.

I understand that there maybe a way to capture @ DVD Res in Virtualdub.

I would like to know if i can capture @ DVD Res using my normal ATI TV Card program.

The highest Resolutions i get at the moment are:

    NTSC : 620 x 288 (I think)

If there are any methods to capture at DVD Res using both Virtualdub and my standard ATV TV Program..please reply

    thank you

  4. ATI TV Wonder does not use the standard BT8x8 chip, so you cannot use the generic BT VFW and WDM drivers for this card. ATI limits their drivers to x240 for this card. You might be able to mix and match some wrappers and other drivers and stuff and perhaps get 720x480, but I would not hold my breath. This is why I always suggest people get the Hauppauge TV tuner card instead of the ATI TV Wonder card. The Hauppauge card can do 720x480 with both generic and original drivers, and both VFW and WDM drivers are available.

  5. 720*480(576) with a TV wonder PCI is no problem and it does use the booktree 8x8 and video for windows is no problem - wdm though is a pain in the rump.

get iuvcr which uses it's own directshow drivers or download the 3rd party bt8x8 VFW drivers and use them with virtualdub.

    i know, i own one.

It seems that the only legal way to get ATI TV V 6.3 is to purchase a card and the CD that came with it on e-bay?

Check this ATI site for the latest drivers. The new drivers may work for you. http://mirror.ati.com/support/driver.html

    Hi,
Turn on your vcr first. Go to Source, choose cable and channel 4, then put it back to channel 3 and select SVCD. The sound will come through then.
That had me messed up for a while, too.
    Later.
