  1. I have an svcd i've encoded that the audio starts to late. What program can i use to sync the audio. I don't wanna reencode if possible. Is there any programs that will allow me to sync audio with a simple demux and mux? I would think it would be a program much in demand.

  2. lots of progs can demux..tmpeg, etc then use bbmpeg to remux ..it has a delay feature so you can fix sync problems

  3. Thanks, still don't see how bbmpeg will do it. It wouldn't load the mp2 file. Tried changing the name it to a m2p figuring it was a typo. Still wouldn't.

Ends up, AND ALL TAKE HEED, that media player doesn't recognize 3:2 pulldown on playback. That is why the sound is out of sync. I burned it to a cd an plays no problem on my stand alone. Also the file plays perfect with WinDVD.

  4. NOT TRUE as a generalization: It depends "why" Media player can play MPeg2. If you installed WinDVD or PowerDVD, it WILL understand 3:2 pulldown on playback, since I've used both of them and always use 3:2 pulldown. There may be other filters that do not handle it properly.....

  5. hmmm,

I have windvd installed but looking at the "filters in use" i don't see anything about windvd its using ligos mpeg audio decoder, splitter, and decoder. So how do i change the filter to windvds filters?

  7. Yepp, it must be ligos...
I have windvd and ligos. Windvd plays pulldown w/o problem. However, WMP uses ligos decoder and it goes out of sync...
    Bummer...

    You can use Mpg2vcr.
When you are muxing in that program you can change how much the audio should be delayed or how soon it should start.

Give it a go, I have used it quite a lot for some vcd´s that have not been synced.
