  1. No sound on a Divx I was given. The audio is encoded at 192 but appears to not be mp3. Picture is perfect however. Any ideas?

    If you load your video into Gold Wave, it will show if there is any audio in your video. If there is audio, you can amplify it, or mix it into both audio channels to make sure it works.

    Load the AVI into Vdub, select file > file information

    This will tell you what codec was used, if its shown as unknown, then you have a missing codec. It may be AC3, install Nimo lite
