  1. Thanks for your help so far with CCE. As I understand it, if I want to produce a VBR SVCD using CCE then I cannot select PS. Instead of an mpg file I end up with an Mpv and Mpa files (Video and Audio). What do I have to do with these files in order to create my SVCD mpg file??

The inability to create a VBR SVCD mpg file (as TMPEnc does so easily) seems a bit hard to believe, considering CCE is touted as the best encoder around for the money.....??

  2. I don't think you want CCE to convert your audio. From what I've read, this program is fine for video, but to use some other software for converting the audio.
Anyway, when you have separate video and audio files, you have to multiplex them together (mux for short).

Thanks for that....I thought as much. Probably have to go back to TMPGenc to do the mulitplexing. (Why am I leaving TMPGenc

I tried to encode a 30 min AVI using CCE SP using a CBR of 2520. Yet both Nero and VCD Easy would not see it as a valid SVCD. What magic do you have to perform to produce a valid SVCD from CCE SP ???????

CCE SP 2.50 mux a program stream with the wrong packet size. Again you have to demux and remux with TMPG or bbMPEG.

  5. Thanks guys. CCE is looking less attractive as time goes on !!!!!
Especially if the quality difference between CCE and TMPGenc is about the size of a bee's dick (an assumption I have drawn from reading dozens of forum messages on the CCE vs TMPGenc discussions).
