    i am using tmpgenc 2.53 to try and convert some avi files to vcd, but every time i try and convert the avi, the audio is fine, but there is just a black screen and no picture?!?!?!?
    I have tried a program called AVI2VCD, which converts it fine, so why is tmpgenc not working?
    any help would be greatly appreciated

    1, Make sure you have the codec's download and install the Nimo codec pack

    2,
    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
    right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4
