    Hello All:

I am planning on capturing some tv (as dv) and then editing with either FCP or iMovie. I will eventually dump to MPEG4, hopefully later to be encoded and burned either to DVD or VCD. Does anyone know if there is any software (am running Mac OS X 10.2) to eliminate the tv badge (e.g. TNT or Fox) usually on the lower right hand corner? I remember hearing about some Sourceforge solution, but have come up with nothing.

Also, has anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with the Formac Studio dv/tv? I am looking at this as an option, due to built in scheduling function and dv capabilities (I have over 160 GB of hard drive space). Much thanks in advance ....

There would be no way to do that due to the fact that once you capture your video the badges would be on the video.

  3. I don't use mac but you certainly can remove the logo, in fact if it is transparent you can remove it without damage to the underlying video. If not transparent you can blend or mask it.

DeLogo or LogoAway for Vdub, again I don't know the Mac equivalent but it CAN be done.

If it is transparent then you wouldn't see it in the first place. And the blurring idea would just cause a big mess of the video. I'd suggest just leaving it there.

  5. He meant a see through logo like the FOX logo. I vane't had much success in removing logos. I just can't stand the blur on only one side of the screen...

  6. By transparent I meant PARTIALLY transparent. If you had tried Logoaway using the XY switch, the blur is only in the logo area and can be almost unnoticeable. With DeLogo and a SEMI-transparent logo, the removal is almost perfect.

I've done it, I've seen it. YMMV.
