  1. I converted an avi (divx) file to MPG using TMPGenc (NTSC SVCD option) and burned the mpg to a SVCD (Nero 5.5.3.5). When I play the CD on my Panasonic A160 DVD player, the image is perfect but there is no sound. Anyone has an advice ??
PS : when I play the resulting mpg file on my PC (before burning with Nero), I have both sound and image.

  2. Your source file probably has an audio sampling rate of 48000 Hz - you need to convert the audio stream to 41100 hz (use virtualdub)

  5. Buzzrick :

aarrghh, didn't work, still no sound ! but we might not be sor far : with Virtualdub, I tried to extract the wav in 44100 hz format. I could change all the parameters except that the bit rate was 173k/s and not the 224k/s which i suppose is the standard for SVCD. Do you think this could be the reason it didn't work ? how can I set the bit rate to 224K in Virtualdub ?
