  1. Hi,

I have a slight problem with virtual dub filters, I capture from a DC10+. But when I try to filter with VirtualDub using resize, smart deinterlace, warp sharp and temporal smoother. The resulting avi looses audio in the second half of the movie. Any one has any ideas what's the problem and the fix?

    Thanks

  2. Hi andrew2070
I have a DC10+ as well. I'll try and test it if you supply a bit more information:

    1. What are you capturing from ?
    2. Are you using VirtualDub or DC10+ Studio for capturing ?
    3. What resolution are you using ?
    4. Are the 3 listed filters the only/all the filters you are using ?
    5. Do you use one filter at a time, or all 3 in one conversion ?

and finally, does the first part look OK including a good sound - i.e. that is a quality you are happy with ?

  3. Hi Bach,

Thanks for replying, I've found out the problem. I've just purchase the DC10+, do you know what's the best settings for converting the captured avi to VCD (in VirtualDub, TMPEnc or any other programs)?

    Thanks.

  4. Hi andrew2070
I've done some testing based on a resolution as high as possible - 720*540 at 3000bit. That gives you a really good quality if you output to VHS, but trying to "Make File" and then convert into MPG just doesn't fit the bill. Some people in this forum have suggested capturing at something like the VCD standard, which is the next thing I will try.
Please let me know how you get on.
