IF you are running NT try using Graphedit. This is due to the file
that is created being rather large. I tried it on a 98 minute movie
and when it got to 4 gig it crapped out. Win98 does not like files
    bigger than 4 gig.

I can sympathize with you. I have an asf I have been working on for
3 weeks. I finally gave up but I have sort of tried working on it just
    a little bit.

Other tools to try are Virtual Dub (ver 1.3 lets you access wmv and asf)
Virtual Dub ver 1.4 will not, ASFTools and Windows Media Encoder.

I have so many little programs installed on my PC since I have been
working on this file it is pathetic. BUT, at least I will know what to do
if I get another asf (Which I will not do )

My last try was making a VCD right from the asf. It worked, I think,
but the file was 940 meg. Too big for a CD so now I will have to cut
the asf in 2 then do the VCD encode again.

    Goodluck
