    I have WM converter software. It allows to covert to wmv, mp4, mpg,avi,flv,3gp and mp3. Can anyone tell me which of these I need to convert wmv files to in order to play in quicktime.
    In short what is the format to play in quicktime.

    Yes, MP4.

    I'm not sure which audio formats Quicktime supports, your best bet might be AAC if your converter supports it, though chances are it will use AAC by default if you convert to MP4.

    May I ask why you want to convert? If your reason is that your mobile phone (iPhone maybe?) only supports Quicktime, that's fine. If your reason for converting is that you have a Mac and no way to play WMV files, there are various free problems like VLC that can play WMV files on Macs.
