  1. Hi

I'm using TPMGE ver. beta 12 and wanted to know if there is any way to resume a conversion that has been in progress.
Every now and then I have to interrupt processing for some reason or another, and when I'm starting over it always starts from the beginning of the film. Since it takes so long to convert a movie I wondered if there is anyway to resume from where You stopped the process?

    Thanks

No resume, but if you note where you left off(either frame or time ) then you can start encoding from there. You will generate another file (just call it 2 or B or something) so you will have to join them together with TMPG join option later if you want One long clip.

Click on settings> Click on advanced tab> then double click source range> Set the start frame to wher you left off >then click ok > then ok again.....Then encode.

Later goto file> mpeg tools> merge and cut....to join

    morning,

before someone else posts this idea, you could just press the
[stop] button, (and NOT answer dialog box) go do what you need
to do (speed improves) and then, when you're finished, click
the [No] buton to resume your encoding.

But, WARNNING!! doing this, will cause your file system to
become unstable!! What do I mean by this? ie, if say, you
need to do some special "capturing" or you need to do something
that utilizes the harddrive intensively, you could cause your
system to lock up, due to the "still opened" file, and being
that the system (your other project you need to cut ahead of)
is probably going to cross paths, the FAT or whatever that takes
care of the files gets corrupted and causes a fit. I've done
this many times, but couldn't realise this till a later date,
thanks to a friend in the FAT business, he, he... for informing
    me of this cause.

I hope I've made some sense. But, you've ben worned by this,
    though it still does work.
