    My system now freezes everytime I try to encode divx to DVD, and I have to switch off pc. This happens no matter which encoding program I use. I have used so far dvd santa, VSO, cucusoft avi to dvd and Nero.

    This problem has only occured recently and I have been able to encode using the above programs in the past.

    Any clues ?

    Thanks for that Mats, I will give it a try. After searching the net, one suggestion is to try BigFix, which I will also try.
