  1. Hello all,
I'm trying to convert a 1hour of NTSC-DV to fit on a 700mb file. Is there a good and precise why to do it whithout changing the resolution and maintaining a good quality ?

Here below is a previous post where I described how I tried to do it and did not work as planned.

    costimm,

Your simple question has the kicker of "not changing the resolution". That would require an awful lot of compression (in my opinion).

I would take the DV and encode it with TMPGenc as VCD using 1500 video bitrate. The hour will fit, and result should look good on a DVD player.
