  1. I noticed last night that my cpu temperature hit a high of 88C when using hybrid. I was deinterlacing, denoising and upscaling to 1080p.

Ive got a i7 14700k which does apparently tend to get hot, but is it normal for avisynth filters be working it that hard?

Like everything that I google, Im getting mixed opinions on whether that temp is ok. Some say yes its fine others say no.

Running a QTGMC + LSFMod script here and Prefetch (24), my CPU is doing 80-100% and temp around 80°C after 10 minutes of encoding, slowly creeping up as the liquid gets hotter.

I believe CPUs auto-throttle to control their temp, so they shouldn't cook themselves... should they?

Well upon doing further reading, it seems these temperatures are perfectly normal for our cpu’s.

Its my first proper pc and I know little about them so I must admit I was pretty alarmed when I saw 88C. The summer time will be interesting!
