    Hello

does anyone know of a professional box that can be added to my home TV system to capture / record HDMI 2.0 sources up to 4K

is there such a box and does it capture and remove and protection so I can store TV recordings from various HDM sources BluRays etc.

There is no stand-alone professional box or professional HDMI capture device capable of recording these sources due to the HDCP copy protection applied to their HDMI output. You would need an HDMI splitter that removes HDCP as a side effect to use such gear. Unfortunately I don't know of any that are currently available.

It is easier to rip Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray using a Windows PC equiped with a suitable optical drive than it is to record the output from a player.
