  1. Tell me how to export external encoders to Avidemux and VirtualDub2. Especially important for VirtualDub2, it has old versions of codecs. Interesting x264 and x265 codecs. Probably it will be FFMPEG codecs.

VDub should have a built-in frameserver.

  3. Do you mean transfer video to another application? Something like FFMPEG?

  4. just curios, since I haven't used VirtualDub&Co for 10+ years,...

Doesn't VirtualDub2 support external encoders the same way VirtualDub did?

  5. Thank you. I will try it. But the instructions at the beginning of this topic show importing a project with codecs, but not adding an encoder.

  6. I now thought. VirtualDub2 is probably an old application. What is the best modern application to use for downloading Avisint scripts and video encoding?

In addition to it's built in encoders VirtualDub2 can use system installed VFW codecs. So install a VFW encoder if you want to use the original or VirtualDub2 for encoding. Or just use some other program for encoding.

I typically use VirtualDub2 to view/edit my scripts, then use the x264 command line encoder or ffmpeg to encode them (via a batch file). Some like to use AVSPMod for both.

  8. Thanks for answers.
VFW codecs are probably not new either. And by the way, it is not clear how to select an audio codec in VirtualDub2 when saving a video. Apparently, you can't do without adding external encoders. Perhaps the best use of VirtualDub2 with Avisynt is frameserver. But for a beginner it will be difficult.
