Hi all,
I've captured some movies with my Hauppauge PVR card.
Now I have some VCD files, which are to big for one CD (1150kbs, VCD, 25frames, PAL).
does anyone have any idea how I can split the VCD file to write it on 2 cd's, to wach it on my stand alone player? (the player can read vcd, svcd etc... toshiba 210e)
Can I prevent this probs with creating 2 files while I capture the movie? If yes, where are the settings and which capture tool I schoul use for that?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
BenInsula

Use "MPEGtool" for VCD's. This is a freeware program and it's quite fast. Another option is "TMPGenc" . you can cut VCD's And SVCD's, but it is quite slow.

Thanks for the hint, but if I use Tmpgenc, the sound is lost...
I tryed to cut a movie into two parts. the first part, there are no problems and at the second part, the audio is lost after about 40 minutes.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks.

Why not try vcdcutter for cutting vcd's? It's fast+easy! You'll find it on the tools page of this site.

Thanks, but after installing and registering VCDCutter I was only able to cut the first 2 minutes from thed mpeg.
Are there any good working tools to fit the recorded mpeg onto two CDs?
Thanks BenInsula
