ok, I have a cap that came out dark. I would liek to lighten it in VD. I have tried the filters when I capped it but it made no difference. someone please help, as I can't seem to find anywhere of how to use these...

I know this is after the fact, but have you tried 'tuning the video' BEFORE capturing using the VirtualDub brightness/contrast controls along with the Histogram?...sounds hard but its real easy. Go to the link below for details.
All of my captures were dark before i started tuning each capture session.
