    what is the sulution it's a 2,24gb movie file how do reduce the file size a bit and no not 900mb bcs i don't want bad resulution but why does this take like 5hours almost

    Settings and codec >> depends on what you are trying to accomplish, usage, quality requirements, display device, etc

    look i god my pc info in an txt file u can chek it if u want this is an older pc i use trough out the week can u help me further then? i attach the txt file to this

  7. Without knowing what program and codecs you're using it's hard to advise. And what's the resolution of your source video? Knowing it's 2 GB isn't of much help. You're not going to get very fast, high quality with your 10 year old CPU.

    But in general -- try using faster encoder settings. For example, there can be a 100 fold difference in encoding speed between x264's "ultrafast" and "placebo" presets. Even between "veryfast" and "medium" there's a 2x to 3x difference in encoding speed.
