Hi,
I backup my blurays to smaller file size.
But som blurays are very grainy?!
I know that removing grain will also remove some quality, but i prefer smooth video, so my question is:
What software is the "best" to remove grain or smoothen out the video, while re-encoding the file?
I normally use Handbrake to encode my blurays, but the denoise functions are limited, at least at my experinces 🙂

	Hi,
do you know, you can use --nr=X where X stands for number, you should tested. There should be some reasonable settings, If I were you I start on small portion of video using 400 and above. It is not best, but is superfast motion compensated filter, that can reuse data from encoding the video (x264).
 Good article about it
