Whenever I view videos in youtube using firefox, the flash player crashes frequently. What could be the reasons? Evenafter installing the latest version, it stays for a few days. Is there any alternative to Adobe flash player plug in.

You could try toggling hardware acceleration to see if it makes any difference.
    Also, clear the youtube cookies.

@davexnet- I have Windows 7 - Intel (R) Core (TM) i3 - cpu 540 @ 3.07 GHz 32 bit - 4 GB RAM; I have updated the Intel HD driver; clean the system using CCleaner often.
@roma_turok - updated the driver; but the problem continues.
@Baldrick - Thanks. I will try chrome as suggested. I use download helper in firefox. Is there any provision in chrome to download videos.

  6. Try the Firefox plugin "YouTube Center"... In it's options you can force youtube to play videos using it's HTML5 player. This will completely bypass the Flash Player plugin, plus it has a lot of nice other features for using Youtube.

@roma_turok - Thanks for your reply. I don't use firefox portable.

@alsyed - I enabled the 'youtube plugin' as you suggested. Now, it doesn't crash. Thanks for your help.
