Suddenly Windows Explorer won't remember it's position. It keeps opening minimized,I can't get it to remember it's window size. I googled it but none of suggested fixes work.

You could also use CCleaner or similar and "Remove Custom Window Positions", which should reset all your window positions to whatever is "Default" (fullscreen?).

Well it happened again and this time the Microsoft tool doesn't work. It keeps opening minimized and I have to reset all options each time I open it.

  6. Delete the following registry keys:

    1) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell
    2) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam

    Then recreate them:
    Right-click on Windows>New>Key. Name it Shell .
    Right-click on Windows>New>Key. Name it ShellNoRoam .

Then, right-click on Shell>New>DWORD value. Name it BagMRU Size .
    Right-click on BagMRU Size>Modify.
Value data for Hexadecimal should be: 1f40
Value data for Decimal should be set to: 8000

Exit Registry editor. Log off/Log on to take effect.

I actually had to do this yesterday, as my folders where doing there own thing.
