    In a .AVI file MKV Merge do not change the Aspect Ratio (I want to that be 4:3 but is 16:9)

    I tried to change the Aspect Ratio and the Height and Weight but the file continue the same:

    I tested mpeg4 modifier and changed the DISPLAY ASPECT RATIO to 4:3. It plays fine in VLC,

  3. MKVMerge will change the aspect ratio. You can confirm it's done so using MediaInfo. The issue is probably that your player is ignoring the aspect ratio being set. And some players will use the aspect ratio written to the video stream in preference to what's writtin at the container level. If that's the case, then as Baldrick suggested, mpeg4 modifier will probably solve the problem. From there you can probably still remux the AVI as an MKV.

    If you check the MKV with MediaInfo and it displays two aspect ratios ("aspect ratio" and "original aspect ratio") it means the aspect ratio written to the video stream and the aspect ratio written to the MKV container are different. Which one is used, depends on the player.
