  1. I have been playing around with a few mpgs all day, now all of a sudden, when i load one into WMP or ATI movie player, it goes green and crashes the system.

Any idea what would cause this.

    cheers

    ps. Win2K OS

I have just uninstalled the nimo codecs and divx and anything else i could find in Add/Remove programs to do with codecs, restarted my machine, then tried to load in an svcd mpeg, WMP was looking for a codec to play it then the same thing happened, it froze with the WMP screen green

  2. I have just uninstalled WMP (i think it was version 7, (the latest one that Windows Update installs)) and i can play my mpegs fine again in the old WMP and ATI movie player.

very strange, but i dont think i'll install the latest WMP again.

(just need to sort out why nothing will open into tmpeg now
